West Virginia University alumnus Ronald L. Horst was recognized by the Federation of Animal Science Societies and the American Feed Industry Association with the 2018 AFIA New Frontiers in Animal Nutrition Award. Horst was recognized during the 2018 American Dairy Science Association annual meeting in Knoxville, Tennessee, on June 24.

Agriculture and Forestry Hall of Fame to welcome new members at 2018 Banquet
Charleston, W.Va. - Five individuals will be inducted into the 2018 West Virginia Agriculture and Forestry Hall of Fame during the WVAFHOF annual banquet at Jackson's Mill on Saturday, July 14. Among the honorees, listed below, are three WVU Davis College graduates and one former professor and researcher.

WVU professor of resource economics and management to be recognized as 2018 ARER Fellow
Collins, who also serves as assistant director of the Division of Resource Economics and Management in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, has authored or co-authored more than six peer-reviewed articles for the journal, having met the requirement to become a Fellow several years ago, according to ARER Managing Editor Dave Abler.
