WVU forest resources management student receives Davey Arbor Grant scholarship

Hunter, a forest resources management junior from Red Lion, Pennsylvania, was named a 2016 recipient of the Davey Arbor Grant scholarship. Each year, the Davey Foundation awards $1,000 merit-based scholarships to the best and brightest students in the industry. Over the last 25 years, Davey Tree has donated more than half a million dollars through this scholarship program. 

Hunter was pleasantly surprised – and extremely grateful – to be selected.

WVU professor emeritus, loyal supporter passes away

West Virginia University professor emeritus who tirelessly supported the University, its programs and students has passed away at the age of 84.

Dr. Joginder Nath, professor emeritus and longtime chair of the genetics and developmental biology program in the WVU  Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, died Sunday (Dec. 11) night after a long illness.
