American Fisheries Society

The WVU Student Sub-Unit of the American Fisheries Society was formed in 2000. Their mission is to provide a professional forum for fisheries students and faculty members interested in fisheries pursuits. Prior to recognition by the parent chapter of the American Fisheries Society (AFS), fisheries students were involved in the WVU Wildlife and Fisheries Club. The fisheries students became interested in different goals and pursuits than the wildlife group, which provided the impetus to form a recognized AFS subunit at WVU. AFS Facebook. AFS National.

American Society of Interior Designers

ASID promotes professionalism in interior design services and products for the workplace and home. To keep up with the unique needs of its members, ASID has created the Design Specialty Network (DSN) program. Eight defined areas of interior design are featured on Network ASID, an on-line program featuring specialized information, news bullets, membership information, reports, publications, product options/availability and more. Collegiate 4-H

Collegiate 4-H of West Virginia University is a service organization open to any WVU student. Throughout the year they offer a variety of social, service, and fundraising activities often joining with other university organizations to extend the fun.

Collegiate Horsemen Association

This club brings students together to network with other students and industry professionals at WVU and around the country. Educational events like horse expos, shows and tours, guest speakers and social activities are just some of the opportunities WVU Collegiate Horsemen’s members have access to! WVU Cooking Club

The WVU Cooking Club is the first official cooking club at West Virginia University. The club allows you to indulge in a variety of different foods, while learning about cultures and their cooking techniques.

Food Science Club

Newly formed in 2014, the Food Science Club aims to provide an environment for students with an interest in food science, to offer a national network for students who wish to obtain an internship or career in food science related fields, and to show a need for an undergraduate food science program at WVU. WVU Forestry Club

The WVU Forestry Club is an all inclusive group of students from all campuses that are heavily involved in representing WVU at various woodsman competitions through out the United States. These competitions implement traditional and fundamental forestry/logging practices that feed into the STIHL Timbersports series. The club has crucial partnerships with the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources Alumni Association and Adventure WV to help facilitate events such as the alumni banquet and WVU Forest Day held every April. wvuforestryclub@gmail.com . The student club for Wood Science and Technology or other interested students. FPS is an international society of professionals in the wood products industry, government agencies, and universities. The mission of the Minorities in Agriculture and Related Sciences (M.A.R.S.) shall be to provide an environment conducive to the holistic development of minority students pursuing careers in Agriculture, Natural Resources and related sciences. A primary objective of this organization is to foster a sense of community and belonging for students (undergraduate and graduate) within the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design. M.A.R.S. is dedicated to the Academic, Professional and Personal advancement of Davis College Minority students, by providing the necessary resources, community collaborations and networking experiences.
