The project aims to develop maps that show environmental (e.g. streams, weather, climate, land cover, topography, flood inundation) and social (e.g., building, infrastructure, demographic) data for 3 watersheds in 3 states (Cheat River in WV, Winooski River in VT, and Loyalsock River in PA) that will be used to inform community and ecosystem planning and adaptation in light of more extreme rainfall and flooding in the Appalachian Mountains.

Additional Information: Student must be familiar and proficient in using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and basic data wrangling (with support from faculty and graduate students in the WVU Mountain Hydrology Lab).
