The Davis College's School of Agriculture and Food Systems has a variety of graduate programs at the master's and doctoral levels to meet your educational, research and professional goals and interests.
Animal, Food and Nutrition Sciences (PhD)
This program offers research and classes in areas of emphasis, including agricultural biochemistry, animal nutrition, animal physiology and production management. Students have an opportunity to study and conduct research with faculty in areas of excellence within the college.
Animal Physiology (MS)
This program allows maximum flexibility in courses and research problems. Students may work with beef and dairy cattle, sheep, swine, poultry or laboratory animals. Research problems in farm animals and laboratory animals form the basis for many studies, but a comparative approach is emphasized.
Genetics and Developmental Biology (PhD)
This interdisciplinary program has the benefit of involving the faculty and facilities of a number of departments across the University. A student may concentrate in genetics or developmental biology.
Nutritional and Food Science (MS)
In this program, students may work with issues in human or animal health and nutrition. The School of Agriculture and Food Systems also offers the graduate dietetic internship program as a component of this master's program.

This master's program is offered to students who wish to study agronomy, entomology, environmental microbiology, horticulture, plant pathology or soil sciences. Thesis or non-thesis options are available.
