Graduates must arrive by 2 p.m.
This May, WVU colleges and schools will host individual commencement ceremonies;
the WVU Davis College ceremony is set for 3 p.m. Fri., May 10, at the WVU Coliseum.
All Davis College students who anticipate graduating in May or August 2019 are invited to participate
in the ceremony. December 2018 graduates are also invited
to participate. All students who plan to participate must RSVP online for the ceremony by
April 15, 2019.

Important Information
Please keep the following information in mind as you make your plans:- On May 10, graduates must report to the Basketball Practice Facility by 2:00 p.m. to check-in and receive instructions for line-up. The processional begins at 3:00 p.m.
- Tickets are NOT required and there are no restrictions on the number of guests a graduate may bring. The ceremony will last approximately two hours.
- Graduates are required to wear caps and gowns. Regalia is available for purchase online from Herff Jones or in person from the WVU Bookstore.
- Doctoral candidates will be hooded onstage by a faculty member of their choice or a WVU administrator. Master’s candidates will not be hooded on stage and should wear their hoods to the ceremony.
- Diplomas will be mailed after all grades are finalized and certified by the
Office of the University Registrar. If you are graduating in August or December,
you may still participate in the Davis College ceremony (don't forget to fill
out the registration form). The names of August and December graduates will NOT appear
in the May program.
- To arrange accommodations for graduates or guests with disabilities, please contact WVU's Office of Accessibility Services.
- WVU has contracted with GradImages to provide quality graduation photos of each student. Proofs will be emailed to the student within 72 hours of the ceremony.
- Look for Commencement Volunteers wearing WVU lanyards if you have questions. Volunteers will be stationed at Information Kiosks at the Coliseum and Creative Arts Center before, during and after events.
- For students needing a letter of invitation for guests traveling from out of the country. Please fill out this visit letter form. If you have any questions, please visit International Students and Scholar Services for more information.
- Shuttles will be available from parking lots to ceremony locations.
