Whitney Dudding is native to Mason, WV. Mason is not only her home, but the home of Bob’s Market & Greenhouses, Inc. where Whitney was employed prior to embarking on an undergraduate program at West Virginia University. Graduating with a Bachelor’s in Horticulture in 2016, she gained practical field experience in finishing and installing landscape spaces with the City of Morgantown’s Urban Landscapes Department. In 2018, Whitney accepted a position with WVU Extension as a Plant Diagnostic & Integrated Pest Management associate. While with Extension, she had the opportunity to work under Extension specialists in the fields of plant pathology, weed science, and entomology. She also collaborated with other Extension specialists, county agents, and WVU staff to carry out research and educational outreach initiatives to aid the growers of our state. In November of 2022, she returned to the Division of Plant & Soil Sciences in a professional capacity as the WVU Evansdale Greenhouse Assistant Manager. Whitney is excited to bring her experience and education to the table to serve the core values and principles of the Davis College.
