Assistant Professor
Siddhartha S. Bora is an assistant professor at the Division of Resource Economics and Management at Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, West Virginia University. He is an agricultural economist with research interests in commodity markets, forecasting, and machine learning. Siddhartha earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University in 2022. At WVU, he teaches courses in futures markets and commodity prices.
Siddhartha has published his work in leading journals such as the American Journal of Agricultural Economics and the Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics. In 2021, he received the Outstanding Research Award from the Agricultural Finance and Management (AFM) section, Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA), for his work examining the rationality of USDA forecasts.
