Create Account and Payment of fees.

  1. Find the course below that you want to register for.
  2. Click on the link associated with the course. It will open in a new page.
    1. Click on the “Add to Cart” button on the selected page. When prompted, log in if you have
      account in WVU Continuing Education Registration System. Otherwise click on “Create New Profile” and create a new student profile (single user).
    2. Once you are logged in click on the shopping cart icon and check out with credit card. You will receive confirmation in email.

Once you have paid the fee and received an email notifying you that the Administrative Hold is now removed from the course you must complete registration in Mix to be enrolled in the course for credit.


FOR 293C: Tree ID Bootcamp (3 CR)
This is a 3-week, off-campus summer course offered by the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources that is designed to guide students in developing expertise in tree and shrub identification. The course is set up for any student with an interest in nature interpretation, field botany, forestry, or ecology. The field portion of this class has intensive exposure to trees and shrubs common to the central Appalachians. As a basic course in tree identification, it will provide students with an introduction to 42 families of woody trees, shrubs, and vines. Daily field trips will include visits to a range of local plant communities including bottomlands, riparian areas, lake edges, early successional habitats, urban parks and residential areas, and regenerating and “high” forests.

FOR 424: Vegetation of West Virginia (3 CR)
This is a seven-day, off-campus summer course offered by the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources. As a basic course in botany and ecology, it will provide students with an introduction to the science of plant systematics, taxonomy, and community ecology, with emphasis on the floristics and plant ecology of West Virginia. The course is designed for any major in the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources, but the level of instruction will be appropriate for any student with an interest in field botany and ecology.

Introduction to Mountain Biking; ADRC 131

This introductory course is designed for the entry-level rider who has some bicycle experience and is physically fit. The course fee of $95 is due at registration--fee includes mountain bike equipment rental and transportation.
