Class of 2020
Smithsburg, Maryland

What book would you recommend and why?

The count of Monte Cristo. I believe that it is a phenomenal piece of historical fiction. Not only is it an amazing, engaging story; but great cultural as well.

What is your favorite quote?

"They say honesty is the best policy and I think you regret telling the truth less often than you regret telling lies." - Ralph Moody

What do you love most about your major? And, how will it help you reach your career goals?

I love working with outdoor spaces and having an opportunity to make someone's world better. It will first help me get into the United States Air Force as a second Lieutenant then after that it will help me start a landscape architecture firm.

What are some of your favorite classes?

My favorite classes have been anything art or designed based. Any time I have an excuse to draw or design or create something - and get to count that as work - it's a good day

What are your hobbies?

I love to bike, hike, snowboard, swim or run.

What is the most important thing you've learned outside the classroom?

Effort is the most invaluable of commodities. Few people are willing to put genuine effort into the challenges they face. If you find people who do, keep them close.
