Environmental, Soil and Water Sciences
Class of 2022
Charles Town, West Virginia
Anthony doesn’t waste a moment of his time at Davis College. He plays clarinet in the Pride of West Virginia and hikes around the state while working in the Office of Sustainability and as a student ambassador for the Davis College. That’s in addition to his studies as an environmental, soil and water sciences major.
He loves this field because he gets to learn about chemical processes on a smaller level and environmental issues on a broader scale. The major is very broad and allows for many different career paths, so he isn’t compelled to choose before he is ready. He is unsure of his specific path, but he knows he wants to use what he learns at Davis College to help improve the quality of the environment.
Favorite Band or Music Artist: One Republic

Best Advice for New Students: College is a wonderful opportunity to branch out and engage in social activities, but don’t feel like you have to. Everyone is different so find what works for you.
What do you love most about your major? Being an Environmental, Soil and Water Sciences major allows me to potentially pursue a wide variety of careers. I also enjoy being in a relatively small major and getting to know my fellow ESWS students.
Why do you love being a Davis College Ambassador? I really love representing my college and major and interacting with students who share my interests.
