McKibben, Jason

Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Extension Education

Dr. Jason McKibben earned a bachelor of art in history/anthropology, a master of education in agricultural education, and a doctorate in agricultural leadership, education and communications. All three of his degrees are from Texas A & M University. At WVU he teaches courses in educational colloquium in agricultural education and extension, shop theory and methods, graduate seminar, agricultural mechanics practica, metal fabrication, and adult education in agricultural and natural resources.  His research centers around project and problem based learning in STEM, and the methods of hands on skill acquisition. Dr. McKibben is one of the key members in the newly launched West Virginia P20, a pilot program that establishes an early college and STEM (Science, Technology, Education and Mathematics) academy in Boone County’s Van School District.
