Lara Hedrick is a research associate and works for the Davis College through the West Virginia Research Corporation. Lara received her B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources from West Virginia University in 1996, her M.S. in Ecology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and her Ph.D. in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources from West Virginia University. Lara’s Ph.D. research involved examining the impacts of Corridor H highway construction on benthic macroinvertebrate and fish populations in streams. She has continued working on this project as a part time research associate. Lara lives with her husband Jim in Seneca Rocks, West Virginia. They met at WVU in Percival Hall and both share a passion for the state’s natural resources. Jim is the Hatchery Program Manager for the WV Division of Natural Resources. Lara and Jim have 3 biological and 4 adopted children.
