The day that every college student eagerly anticipates is almost here! The Davis College and WVU are working hard to ensure that your graduation celebration is special. Here is what we have planned for December Commencement in 2009:

About the Ceremony
Date: Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009
Time: Ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. Candidates should arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. to allow time for picking up identification cards at the upper lobby of the Coliseum above the Red Gate and then proceeding downstairs to line up in alphabetical order in the tunnel at the Lower Red Gate.
Place: WVU Coliseum (COL) See a map of WVU’s Evansdale Campus.
Reception: Our catered reception will begin at 10:00 am in the Percival Hall Lobby with the Dean’s introductions of students starting at 11:00 am. If you are graduating with honors (GPA above 3.4), you will be awarded honorary WVU chords at this time. To help us plan this special event, please click on this link to let us know you plan to attend this College event, how many guests you plan to bring, and to provide profile information for the Dean’s student introductions.
Outstanding Fines/Fees: If candidates have any money due to a University unit, they will not receive their diplomas on graduation day. Candidates should check with Admissions and Records (304-293-2124) to be certain that they are not listed as owing fines or fees.
Attire: Participating candidates must purchase a cap, gown and tassel at the WVU Bookstore or the Book Exchange. The cost of these is not included in the graduation fee.
Parking: The WVU Coliseum has adequate parking to accommodate all guests. WVU officials will be on hand to direct overflow and handicap-accessible parking.
Accommodations for Guests and Graduates with Disabilities: Disability arrangements should be made no later than noon on Friday, May 8, and cannot be guaranteed after that time. Special seating is available for guests with physical limitations, as well as guests requiring the services of the interpreters on the platform.
